Ignore Rules

Drop known noise at ingest — errors whose message matches a rule are discarded before they become issues, on every platform of your project.

What are Ignore Rules?

Ignore Rules drop errors you never want to see — like "ResizeObserver loop limit exceeded" or a browser extension's noise — before they reach your Issues inbox.

Included. Ignore Rules are included for every project at no cost. Dropped errors never become new issues, so they do not use your free allowance or your wallet.

Ignore Rules#

A rule is a pattern tested against the error message of every new error your SDKs send. Rules belong to the Abrova project, so one rule applies to all of its platforms (iOS, Android, Flutter, web, server).

Creating an Ignore Rule

  1. In Abrova Console, open Trace → Ignore rules
  2. Click "New rule"
  3. Pick a Match type — Contains, Exact or Regex — and type the Message pattern
  4. Check the preview: it shows how many issues from the last 30 days the pattern would have matched (tested in your browser against your latest issues)
  5. Click "Save rule"

Managing rules (add, edit, switch on/off, delete) needs the admin or owner role; every role can view them. See Roles & Permissions.

Match Types

Matching is case-insensitive.

TypeDescriptionExample
ContainsPattern appears anywhere in the messageResizeObserver loop matches "ResizeObserver loop limit exceeded"
ExactThe whole message must equal the patternNetwork Error matches only "Network Error"
RegexJavaScript regular expression tested against the message^ChunkLoadError: Loading chunk \d+ failed

Rules match the error message only. Matching by URL, platform or environment isn't supported in the Console.

Managing Ignore Rules

  • Turn on/off: Each rule has a switch, so you can disable it without deleting it.
  • Edit: Change a rule's match type or pattern.
  • Delete: Remove a rule; errors matching it will reach your inbox again.
Note. Ignored errors are dropped at ingest: they are not stored, don't create or update issues, and don't trigger alerts. Rules only affect new errors — existing issues are not removed. Messages sent with captureMessage are not affected.
